San Antonio Missions National Historical Park


Description:
Four Spanish frontier missions, part of a colonization system that stretched across the Spanish Southwest in the 17th, 18th, 19th centuries, are preserved here. They include Missions San Jose, San Juan, Espada, and Concepcion. The park, containing many cultural sites along with some natural areas, was established in 1978. The park covers about 819 acres.


Directions:
Plane - San Antonio is serviced by San Antonio International Airport and Stinson Municipal Airport.


*Car - From Downtown:Proceed south on St. Mary's Street, which will turn into Roosevelt Avenue. Continue south to the 3300 block of Roosevelt, where it intersects with New Napier Avenue. Turn left. You will see the park visitor center on the left.

From Interstate 37:Exit at West Southcross Boulevard. Proceed west on Southcross to Roosevelt Avenue. Turn left and proceed south on Roosev
