Dale Hollow National Fish Hatchery (NFH) occupies a 40 acre plot within the Highland Rim of the Upper Cumberland physiographic region. for stocking in and below U. S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) and Tennessee Valley Authority impoundments in Tennessee, Georgia, and Albama. Established in 1965, the hatchery features 104 outdoor raceways and 22 indoor fingerling production tanks where visitors can view the fish at their leisure. Vistors are also welcome to visit the aquarium/visitor center which interprets the history and function of the hatchery for the public. On display in this building are specimens of native warm water fish. The hatchery is open seven days a week from 7:00 am - 4:00 pm. Visitors are welcome to view the hatchery on their own or tours can be arranged with advance notice. Organized bird walks take place in spring and fall. An annual "Kids Fishing Derby" takes place every June.

The hatchery, located in Clay County in north-central Tennesse, lies 40 miles north of Cookeville, Tennessee, and 2 miles northeast of Celina, Tennessee, just off Tennessee State Highway 53.
