Description:Located in central Utah, the Fishlake National Forest has mountains rising from the valleys and elevated plateaus holding hidden niches of beauty and solitude. Water is especially important in this semi-arid climate and small streams "feed" the valleys. Canyons cut by these streams have coloriful walls revealing a variety of geology. There is a mix of sedimentary and volcanic rocks as this is the transition zone between the Colorado Plateau and the Basin and Range Provinces.
Directions:Richfield is in the heart of the forest. Interstate 70 and State highway 24 provide easy access to the forest. Please see our map for help in getting there. List of Activities
